Hello…
Bonjour…
Hola…
Konnichiwa…
I am Dr. Cheryl L. Andrews, and I am so glad you decided to learn more about me. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor- Supervisor in North Carolina and a Licensed Professional Counselor- Supervisor in South Carolina. I also hold the credentials of Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor, National Certified Counselor, and Certified Disability Administrator.
I have earned a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Walden University. I earned my master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Winston-Salem State University and my bachelor's degree in Sociology from Saint Augustine's University.
I specialize in providing workshops and training on issues related to disability management, employment concerns, and mental health in the workplace. I love the opportunity to help people increase awareness and move forward in their relationship with themselves, others, and the world. My ideal clients are professionals who seek services because of work/life balance issues, self-care difficulties, mild to moderate depression, or anxiety and are seeking to increase self-compassion, mindfulness/awareness, and leadership/management efficiency.
I am a Carolina (North Carolina) girl, but I have a recent transplant and am becoming a Georgia Peach, a true southern belle! I am a proud wife and mother! In addition to my passion for helping others, I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, traveling, dancing (with or without music), shopping, exploring new things, and all things girly!
My philosophy
I have a very down-to-earth approach and try to make those I form a counseling relationship with feel safe, heard, understood, and validated. I want to help you make significant and lasting changes in your life that are meaningful to you.
I am a solution focused therapist with a primary focus on reality therapy.
I use soft confrontation, when needed, yet believe that the client is in charge of what goals he or she wishes to pursue.
