Careers

Build a clinical career with real supervision behind it

Cheryl L. Andrews & Associates is a boutique group practice in Charlotte and Atlanta. We hire deliberately and we develop the clinicians we hire.

Dr. Andrews is the lead clinician and an approved clinical supervisor in four states. That matters for who we are able to hire: associate-level clinicians here are supervised in house, under a structured developmental model, by the person who owns the practice.

Now hiring for The Bridge Program

We are actively adding clinicians to the teams that deliver The Bridge Program, our service for autistic children, teens, and adults who also live with a mental health condition.

Most programs treat one side or the other: autism services often set the mental health condition aside, and behavioral health care often is not built for how an autistic person communicates, processes, or regulates. The Bridge Program pairs research-based behavioral health treatment with outpatient psychotherapy inside one coordinated plan, delivered at home, in the community, in office, or by telehealth where it is clinically appropriate.

Both roles below are open on Bridge teams. Clinicians who have worked with autistic clients, in home and community settings, or alongside care managers and residential providers are especially encouraged to apply. Read more about The Bridge Program.

Who we are

A practice organized around function

Our work asks one question across every service line: how is this concern affecting the way a person actually lives, works, learns, and participates — and what will help? That lens runs through Clinical Function and Accommodation Consultation, Function-Focused Psychotherapy, The Bridge Program, and Clinical Supervision.

Clinicians here carry real clinical responsibility and get real support for it. We are small enough that you will not be anonymous, and structured enough that you will not be improvising.

Open positions

Two roles, two stages of career

Independently licensed

Clinical Team Lead

Credential required: LCMHC or LCMHC-S.

Clinical Team Leads carry a clinical caseload and hold clinical responsibility for a service area — treatment planning, documentation quality, case coordination, and the day-to-day clinical judgment that keeps care sound.

  • Lead clinical work within an assigned service line
  • Develop and approve treatment plans
  • Support documentation quality and clinical standards
  • Coordinate with care managers, prescribers, schools, and referral partners
  • Contribute to case staffing and program development

LCMHC-S candidates may also participate in supervision of clinical associates, depending on fit and caseload.

Associate-level

Clinical Associate

Credential required: LCMHC-A.

Clinical Associates provide direct clinical services under supervision while building toward full licensure. Supervision is provided in house and is treated as development, not as an hours requirement to be ground through.

  • Provide individual psychotherapy and assigned clinical services
  • Complete assessments, treatment plans, and documentation
  • Participate in weekly individual and group supervision
  • Build competence in ethics, risk assessment, and case conceptualization
  • Work toward licensure milestones with structured developmental planning

Supervision toward independent licensure is included.

Apply: Clinical Associate
What we look for

Beyond the credential

  • Clinical honesty. You can say what you do not know and ask for consultation before it becomes a problem.
  • Documentation discipline. Notes that reflect the clinical reasoning, not notes written to close a chart.
  • Disability-informed practice. Comfort working with neurodivergent clients, chronic illness, and functional barriers without reducing anyone to a diagnosis.
  • Follow-through. Care coordination that actually closes the loop with the people around the client.
  • Cultural responsiveness. Practiced, not professed.
What we offer

Support that is structural, not just stated

  • In-house clinical supervision under a structured developmental model
  • A defined onboarding and orientation process rather than a desk and a login
  • Regular case staffing and consultation access
  • Documentation templates, clinical SOPs, and a supervisory review workflow
  • A practice small enough that your clinical growth is visible and supported
  • Work across the Charlotte metropolitan area
