How Scheduling Works

Format decides the channel

Virtual appointments are booked online. In-person appointments in Charlotte and Atlanta are arranged by the office by phone.

Booking a time creates a request, not a confirmation

Requested times are reviewed and approved by Dr. Andrews, usually within one business day. Once approved, you will receive an intake packet to complete before your first session. Please allow time to complete it — the first appointment cannot proceed without it.

Clinical Function and Accommodation Consultation

Private pay only; not billable to insurance and no superbill is issued. Fees are confirmed in a written fee agreement before services begin.

Function-Focused Psychotherapy

Individual therapy, ages 16 and older. Insurance accepted. Virtual appointments book online; in-person Charlotte and Atlanta appointments are arranged by phone.

Clinical Supervision

For associate-level clinicians and student counselors in NC, SC, and GA. Fees are discussed directly during the initial consultation.

For Referral Partners

Sending a referral

Medical and behavioral health providers, employers, and human resources teams can send a referral using the online referral form, or by calling the office at (877) 305-0570, faxing (877) 418-3074, or emailing dr.ca@cheryllandrews.com. Audience-specific detail on referral triggers and process is on the Referral Partners page.

Attorneys, legal support teams, workers’ compensation carriers, third-party administrators, insurers, and case-management firms: these referrals are not accepted here. They are handled through a separate firm, The Vocational Standard — (980) 326-0616 or cheryl@thevocationalstandard.com.

EAP authorizations should be sent to dr.ca@cheryllandrews.com.

Practice policies at a glance

Practice policies
Cancellations	A $90 fee applies to appointments not cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Psychotherapy payment	Billable to insurance, including most commercial carriers, select Medicaid and Medicare plans, and most EAPs.
Consultation payment	Private pay only. Not billable to insurance; no superbill is issued.
Who you will see	Dr. Andrews is the lead clinician, supported by Clinical Assistants providing services under her supervision. Assignment is confirmed with you before the first appointment, and you may request to work directly with Dr. Andrews.
Not a crisis service	This practice does not provide emergency or crisis care. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For mental health crisis support, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
